Video: 6/8 March
This is my 6/8 march from yesterday’s competition. The tune is The Dundee City Police Pipe Band, and I placed 2nd out of nine players. I was quite pleased with this performance and didn’t have much to say after it was over. The judge’s comments indicate that my D throws need more low G, and that more contrast between the dot and cut notes would make for stronger pulsing on the downbeats of each phrase. Listening to the video I agree with him.
